Wicker end table – It is traditional to use wicker end table and patio and porch furniture. However, as a wicker end table is exposed to the weather, the cane may fade, dry out, become moldy or otherwise begin to break down. You should clean the table as soon as you notice problems. When the table is painted, you can repaint the reeds and close it to make it look like new. These types of preventive measures can add years to the life of your table.
Wear rubber gloves and eye protection. Mix a bucket of hot water with half a cup of bleach. Scrub the wicker end table with a stiff brush and bleach. Allow the bleach to sit on the wicker and the table has a lot of mildew stains. Turn the table upside down and rub the bottom as well. Sand any glossy painted areas of the light table if you’re going to repaint the table. This allows keeping the new paint on the wicker.
Place the wicker end table on plastic sheeting in a place that has a moderate temperature and out of direct sunlight. Choose a spray paint for wood surfaces in the desired color. Spray paint the wicker using long, even strokes. Spray the top and bottom of the table. Spray no yellowing clear coat finish on all surfaces of the table to further protect the table from the elements.
