Mirrored end table – Refurbish tired or outdated end tables in stylish accents for your home using mirror tiles and special glue. Or you pick up a cheap end table at a garage sale or re one of your living room, this DIY project, completely transforms the look of a wooden or metal table. Each table design work for this project; create a mirrored top and paint to add the legs of an open structure of tables or mirrors on all four ends and the top of a block-style table.
Sand to remove an existing metal or wooden end table with light grade sand paper to the top layer of the existing finish. Wipe the table all the way down with a damp cloth to remove any sanding debris.Create the table with wood or metal cleaner. Allow to dry the table. Mirror mastic will keep best on a clean surface. Dry fit mirror tiles to the table. Work from the center of the table top to the ends. Mirror tiles are mostly 12-inch square tiles, but you can also use smaller mosaic mirror tiles that are 2 inches or less create the mirrored end table.
Put safety goggles. Cut to fit the mirror tiles along the outend edge if necessary. To cut mirror tiles, mark a cut line on the face of the mirror tile; make use of a straight edge in order to ensure a straight line. Score the cut line with a glass cutter. Place the rubber grip of a pair of running a tang on an edge of the mirror tile so that the score line is in the center of the rubber grip. Squeeze the pliers to snap the glass on the fault line. Check the fit to ensure that the cut tile does not protrude above the top of the mirrored end table.
